Research interests:
I have three major research interests. The first is concerned with the habilitation of individuals with an intellectual disability. This includes vocational training and placement, the development of social skills and the assessment of their quality of life in institutions and in the community. The second is concerned with the use of RT and responding time paradigms to investigate the slower performance of individuals with an intellectual disability and the aged. The third area is concerned with organisational psychology.
I am currently supervising post-graduate research in the areas of; quality of life of individuals with disabilities in institutions and in the community, the quality of life of elderly persons in nursing homes, change involving information systems in organisations and the fit between individuals and organisations.
